Piaget Looks To Nature With New Green Polo Date & Polo Skeleton

Green is the new blue for Piaget. The Swiss luxury watchmaker and jeweller has turned to nature for inspiration, dressing the Piaget Polo Date and the Piaget Polo Skeleton models in forestial green, inspired by the greenery surrounding the Piaget Manufacture in La Côte-aux-Fées.

Green watches have become commonplace over the past few years, with pretty much every watchmaker trying their hand at the shade. However, green has been an important hue in the Piaget colour palette for decades. The Maison began to incorporate jade, jasper, malachite, and emeralds into its creations during the 1960s, with the precious gems lending a bold touch to both masculine and feminine collections.

While blue was traditionally the colourful alternative to black and white dials, green has cemented itself as a horological hue to watch. The Piaget Polo Date and Piaget Polo Skeleton have both taken on the hue. Both watches have a case size of 42mm, however, each takes on a distinct tone.

The Polo Date opts for a dressy approach, with a rose gold case elevating the green guilloché dial. Presented on a green alligator leather strap, it exudes refinement. Meanwhile, the Polo Skeleton is constructed from understated stainless steel, letting the movement within do the talking. A green plate and bridges on the movement contrast against the purple jewels and silver gears, creating a stylish architectural marvel.

The Piaget Polo Date in rose gold is priced at $44,900AUD while the Polo Skeleton is $44,180AUD.
